I still don’t understand how to kip a handstand push up!
February 8th, 2012 at 1:32 pm
WOD: 15:20 (used 2, 45# plates for HSPU), kicking into the handstand is scary for me! I’m glad I got to practice it 🙂 Thanks Jessica H. for the moral support this morning!
February 9th, 2012 at 6:04 am
me too! I’m a little scared of handstand pushups so it was good to do so many of them even though I was really dreading the workout.
February 8th, 2012 at 1:34 pm
Worked out at Crossfit SoCal in San Diego today.
Handstand walking practice.
Wod: Cindy: amrap 20 min: 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats
I subbed elevated ring rows (feet on a 24″ box) for pullups because my crushed hand couldn’t grip the pullup bar. I swear the elevated ring rows were harder than pullups, all lats, no kipping.

WOD 12:48 used ab mat and kipped the HSPU
February 9th, 2012 at 6:07 am
can’t remember my exact time–something a little shy of 20 minutes. I looked at the clock right before my set of 20 HSPU and thought “hey, not bad!” and then…that last set took me quite a long time.
used some bands on the pullup bar so I could get full range of motion.
